Well, last Wednesday, much to everyone's shock here, it was 40 degrees and we had snow flurries for about 24 hours!! Very early for the Front Range.
I hastily cranked the heat on, sent the boys to school in their ski jackets and was convinced winter had begun early this year.
Not so.... this weekend it has been in the 80s. (what?) We have had our summer gear on again as well as sun screen and the AC is back on. Talk about crazy!!!
I must say, it does keep things interesting and I actually like the changes. Of all the places we have lived, one thing Colorado does have that is constant, despite the fluctuating temperatures, is SUNSHINE; buckets of it, all year round!
Thus you will never hear me complain.
Never.
Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, we hiked all afternoon and hit Maggie Moo's after for a well-deserved ice-cream treat.

Looks like exactly the kind of day our family would enjoy. A nice hike in the wilderness, topped off with a cool icecream treat!! :) Minnesota definitly has days that are varying like that, too. It was in the 70's and 80's all last week and into earlier today, but by this evening the wind was whistling through the trees and the temp is currently at 49 and dropping!! Gotta be prepared for anything. But I love the changing seasons, so I dare not complain! :)
Ruby looks like such a little peanut in the back of the hiking pack. As much as we love getting out for a nice hike, we are going to have to invest in one of those, too!
Have a blessed week!! <><

Awww, *I* sat at Maggie Moos with you this spring!! Different Chinese girl there though - SO very sweet to see Ruby there :)
I LOVE Colorado Weather - I would NEVER complain about it either :) Especially come this winter when I haven't seen the sun shine for months :(
Gorgeous - weather, children and ice cream! Wish I could say that we had a similar problem with the weather, but one thing is constant in Britain (as you know) and that is the constant lack of sunshine!
Now I know where all the sunshine goes - Colorado! Stop hogging it - it's unfair.
xx
Looks like a Barton kind of day! We are looking forward to getting back to the hiking in Whidbey!! Crazy about the weather though!! I am so happy for all of you with all your family time :)
