January

Here are a few photos taken this month. Ruby's language is exploding by the day, it really is remarkable. We are currently potty-training and she is doing really well, to say she is so young.
She continues to eat everything but has slowed down considerably in terms of being hungry/wanting to eat all day long. She has put on 6 pounds in 6 months which is great; she most definitely needed it. Her first visit to the dentist was a success, much to our complete shock! She allowed the hygienist to clean her teeth and then the dentist check them. Incredibly, she has no cavities, which was a total surprise considering her background. She is still sleeping really well but seems to not need a daily nap now. The boys dropped their naps at about the same age but with them it was really tough as they were like energizer bunnies all day long! I mourned not having the 2 hours to get other things done. Ruby, however, is content to play in her room for an hour or so and she doesn't climb/get in to things like the boys did. I , for one, am finding raising a girl so very different from a boy!!

Photos are of Tim's birthday and around the house.

Sarah,
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I just got back from two weeks in California, visiting my sister and my newest niece. My niece is from Korea, and is 13 months old. I kept thinking that she looks like another child I know... and it is Ruby! She is just as lovely as Ruby! :) She is bright and funny, and has this Auntie completely wrapped around her finger.

Looking forward to bringing Adahlyn home at the end of March, or early April. Let me know if you want me to take something to New Day.
Blessings!
Alycia
