Leaving Henan for Guangdong province

Well, we left our hotel for a 5pm flight to Guangzhou only to find at the airport that our plane is being used to transport troops to Urumqi....we have a 6 hour delay as a result so won't be leaving till 11pm which gets us to Guangzhou at 1 am and the hotel at....Lord knows when!!

We are currently at a restaurant near the airport and have a room to ourselves where all the kids in the travel group are running crazy! The food was excellent and the staff, very forgiving. We will stay here till 7 pm.
One good thing is that a fellow parent has explained how to shrink my photos on this tiny PC laptop. This Mac girl didn't know how to do it, so I'm thankful for that!

Praying right now that you were able to get on another plane. Enjoyed catching up with you this morning. What a beauty Ruby is...such a precious gift and how perfect she seems to fit in your family. Have fun in Guangzhou and Happy Birthday to Sam. I am sure it will be a birthday he won't forget. Can't wait to hear and see more of your journey and looking forward to having you back home.

Love,

Nichole

Happy for more pictures of your sweeties! Can't wait for some $tarbucks in Guangzhou!!

What did you ever get figured out about Ruby's age? She looks so sweet & reminds me of how Mya looked when we first met her! Those big brown eyes say so much!

Ruby is just adorable and her smile seems to be coming more readily! You all look like such intrepid travelers, and it is wonderful to hear that the entire family is adapting so well. Even Tim -- poor guy, he'll just have to be patient a little longer. Pretty soon Ruby will have him wrapped around her pinkie!

No comments on the rat on a stick photo, eh? Well, as one who is off to China any week now, I was both horrified and oddly compelled by it. Would you mind terribly if I shamelessly appropriated it for use on my blog? I have no new pictures to post, and I sure could use some levity!!!

Debra -- from MCC07 and CCAIWCP lists. Waiting endlessly for my I-171H (any day now...) so that I can go and get Zuzu in Henan!
