New Day Foster Home Beijing, China

I needed to wait till our return home to post about our visit to the foster care home where Ruby was taken for her surgery.
The facility is a Christian charity-based organization on the outskirts of Beijing. We had a life-changing visit there. Seeing all the precious orphans awaiting families was just so moving and also upsetting. We wanted to bring them all home.
However, it has to be said that New Day is a place of incredible HOPE and we are thankful that Ruby was taken there where she was loved and cared for till we could bring her home.

Wow Sarah, That was amazing to watch. To know that I will walk on that same journey when we travel to China...well, it just chokes me up! I know we are so blessed that our Khloe is in such loving care until we can bring her home...but it's still not the same as "HOME" now, is it!? SO glad that you finally have precious Ruby in your arms and in your HOME...what a wonderful, wonderful gift! She is absolutely beautiful! We pray that all is going well with her transition and that she bonds closer and closer to your family with each passing day!

Love and Hugs,
~Tanya

Oh, Sarah, she just looks perfect. I remember how we shared our worries over parenting a child with ToF, and I am so encouraged to see how vibrant and healthy Ruby looks. You've surrounded her with love, and she is clearly responding!
